Starmer arrives in Saudi Arabia, says work still needed to cement US-Iran ceasefire

RIYADH: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, the UK's ambassador to the Kingdom said.

Speaking during his visit, Starmer welcomed the Iran-US ceasefire, adding that there was still "a lot of work to do" to make ​sure ‌that the agreement becomes ‌permanent, Reuters reported him saying. “But also a lot of work to do in relation to the Strait of Hormuz, which has an impact everywhere across ​the ​world," he added.
